There are 10 new single issues and bind ups to discuss this week for new comic book day!
Single Issues:

AVENGERS ASSEMBLE: THE FINAL CHAPTER!
The grand, oversized finale of the most epic battle in the history of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Along with being the final issue of Jason Aaron’s five-year AVENGERS run, this features an all-star cavalcade of artists, a veritable smorgasbord of Avengers and a few last emotional gut punches in the Mighty Marvel Manner.
If you’ve been following Jason Aaron’s Avengers run, then you will want to read this ASAP! If you haven’t been following it, though, don’t worry; I’ll be putting up a reading guide once all the bind ups have been released!

CAPTAIN AMERICA: VAMPIRE HUNTER?
The FORGIVEN have lost their way – defeat after defeat has made them bitter and bloodthirsty… and they’re starting to like it!
Can CAPTAIN AMERICA bring them back into the light? Or will they give in to their darker natures?
Witness the thrilling conclusion to the UNFORGIVEN saga-if you dare!
The next part in the Unforgiven series – so make sure you’ve read Spider-Man: Unforgiven and X-Men: Unforgiven first.

This issue features a pair of all-new stories that set the stage for the next evolution in mutant adventures, FALL OF X, and introduces an uncanny new lineup for a new team book launching next year. PLUS: a preview of Jonathan Hickman and Valerio Schiti’s upcoming mystery project.
Definitely for people who have been following Dawn Of X (Part 2), Reign Of X and Trials Of X. But, it also continues that preview of Hickman and Schiti’s new work, so it could be worth picking up for that alone if you’re not an X-Men fan. It’s free, so if you decide to pick it up, it won’t break the bank!

Adam Warlock was created to be the perfect human specimen. Since then, Adam has gone on to be a cosmic saviour, defending the galaxy from the likes of Thanos, the Universal Church of Truth and the Magus. But what will happen when the next evolution of Warlock emerges? Someone who is stronger, faster and smarter than Adam? Don’t miss this untold story of Adam Warlock and the Infinity Watch as Ron Marz and Ron Lim (SILVER SURFER: REBIRTH) introduce a new character that will forever impact Warlock’s legacy!
Not one for anyone who doesn’t know anything about Adam Warlock – I’ll be doing a full guide for the character next month so you won’t have to miss out on this character for long!
Bind Ups:

Al Ewing brings his cosmic brand of storytelling to the Guardians of the Galaxy! Once, they were a team of misfits. Now they’re a family, and they’ve earned their peace. But the universe is not a peaceful place – and it’s only getting worse. Someone has to guard the galaxy. And for their first mission, the Guardians of the Galaxy must grapple with the vengeful gods of Olympus! Then, when the political map of the galaxy is radically redrawn, can the team handle a little peaceful diplomacy? Meanwhile, everyone thinks Peter Quill is dead – but instead, he journeys through a mythic world on the other side of reality! Knull and his symbiote dragons wreak havoc! And an expanded Guardians team faces the mystic threat of the Last Annihilation, but what is Doctor Doom doing with them?! Plus: When an old flame swims back into Rocket’s life, it spells big trouble for the little furball.
If you want to give this a go, I’d recommend reading Donny Cates’ Guardians run, as well as Avengers: No Way Home, to get some context for the events of this run.

The incredible end of an era! As Peter David completes his epic run, he delves ever deeper into the mind of Bruce Banner – and brings him face to face with the Hulk’s oldest enemy: General “Thunderbolt” Ross! As the Hulk battles the Maestro, the Destroyer and the alien Troyjan, Banner begins to believe that he and the Hulk could be…happy? But when an unthinkable tragedy suddenly strikes, everything changes! Grieving and tormented, Banner seeks answers – while the enraged Hulk smashes his way through adversaries from Attuma to the Super-Adaptoid! The Circus of Crime wants to use the Hulk, while the alien Qnax needs his help! But as shocking secrets are revealed, how will Hulk and Ross deal with the monstrous menace of the Abomination?
Previous volumes are: Man Or Monster?, The Hulk Must Die, The Leader Lives, In The Hands Of Hydra, Who Will Judge The Hulk?, Crisis On Counter-Earth, And Now… The Wolverine, Crossroads, Going Gray, Ghost Of The Past, Future Imperfect, Fall Of The Pantheon and Ghosts Of The Future. While this says that this is the end of the collection, there are still several volumes missing, so be prepared to miss a lot of issues until they’re eventually released.

Iron Man and Doctor Doom face off in the future! The armoured foes renew their rivalry in a future version of Camelot, where they join a reborn Arthur and Merlin in battle against some very familiar faces! Then, Loki cultivates chaos as his Acts of Vengeance pit shell-head against the Wrecker and Chemistro! Inside the armour, Tony Stark continues to come to terms with his paralysis, and the Maggia makes its move – but what is its involvement with Hydra and A.I.M.? Plus: Iron Man and Crimson Dynamo see the world through each other’s eyes! Tony defends the surface when Atlantis attacks! Iron Man and Captain America join forces to face the return of Terminus! And don’t forget the Dreadnoughts, Madame Masque, the Hulk and Santa Claus?!
Volume 15 in the Iron Man Epic Collection.

Rocket and Groot are the most lovable duo in the Marvel-Verse – and these are some of their craziest adventures! One’s a furball packing firepower, and the other is a walking tree who has a unique way with words. But for all their amazing abilities, can they entertain a group of alien scouts with a campfire story? A Friday-night fight ensues when Rocket and Groot are recruited into Iron Man’s intergalactic football league. Groot finds himself worshipped by alien Vikings. And when things get competitive between Rocket and Groot, they find themselves in a war zone! Plus: During a trip to Earth, Rocket has a to-do list – but Groot has a very personal mission!
A collection of key issues from various Rocket and Groot stories, including issues from the series I have covered before here, and the 2014 Rocket Raccoon run by Skottie Young.

The Marvel Masterworks caps off Frank Miller’s early ’80s writer/artist run on DAREDEVIL with a volume that stands tall with the best comics of all time! In the aftermath of Elektra’s death, Matt Murdock is at a crossroads – obsessed with the idea she might not really be dead. Can he pull it together in time to stop the Kingpin’s criminal machinations and bring justice to Bullseye? Enter Black Widow to help the man she once loved more than any other – but she finds far more than she ever bargained for as the duo steps into the midst of a duel between the Hand and the Chaste to resurrect Elektra!
Previous volumes are just number 1-16.

Epic conflicts add to the Trials of X! Backed into a corner, Excalibur’s Betsy Braddock makes a desperate choice that will reshape Otherworld – and mutantkind – forever. The X-Men’s new nemesis Doctor Stasis finally makes himself known, bringing his terrible creations to bear! The island paradise of Krakoa has no shortage of beautiful vistas, but Wolverine has his sights on the deadliest waves in the world – and a previously unknown threat that lurks in the deep! Plus: a sea change for Kid Omega and Phoebe Cuckoo – and seismic revelations for X-Force! And the cosmos shakes when the Shi’ar Imperial Guard battles the all-new Lethal Legion – with S.W.O.R.D. caught in the middle!
The next part in the Trials Of X run – I’ve linked my X-Men reading guides above and will have a Trials Of X guide up soon when all the bind ups are released.
And that’s everything coming out this week! What’s going on your pull list? I’m looking at Trials Of X 8, Warlock Rebirth, and the Free Comic Book Day Avengers/X-Men comic! Tell me yours down below!
