Marvel are finishing March with a bang by giving us a load of brand-new comics to read, so let’s dive into exactly what’s coming out!
Single Issues:

Someone has been manipulating the Avengers for the past several months, altering the very fabric of reality in an attempt to prepare the planet for a threat that could destroy everything. Here, now, this unseen individual is to be dragged, kicking and screaming, from the shadows and into the light – and is revealed as the Beyonder! Something big is coming to the Marvel Universe…
I’d say that you will need to have read All Out Avengers by Derek Landy, and have an idea of who the Beyonder is, and maybe have a basic understanding of Secret Wars to read this. You could try it without reading Secret Wars, but I’d certainly recommend reading All Out Avengers and knowing about the Beyonder at the very least.

It’s Clobberin’ Time all the time, as Ben Grimm teams up with heroes from across the Marvel Universe for BIG, FIST-POUNDING ACTION! But the stakes have never been higher! In this opening issue, Ben and the Incredible Hulk are stranded on a distant, ancient, alien world, where the duo must protect an ancient people against legions of Deviant hordes and ultimately face the wrath of a Celestial. Luckily, they have four fists between them!
The first part in a solo miniseries where The Thing teams up with various Marvel characters – so I’d recommend having knowledge on The Thing, and for this specific issue The Hulk.

JEFF THE LANDSHARK STARS IN HIS OWN FIN-TASTIC COMIC! Since his very first appearance, Jeff the Land Shark has flooded our hearts like an adorable tidal wave! Now the ingenious, the extraordinary, the unbearably innocent Jeff embarks on his own adventures across the Marvel Universe! You thought it was safe doing laundry or going for a leisurely swim in the pool but no activity can protect against Jeff’s cuteness! Collecting the hit Infinity Comics series from the Marvel Unlimited app, this one-shot features a brand-new cover and tail…we mean tale!
If you have the Marvel Unlimited app, then this won’t be new to you, if you don’t have it, then you’ll LOVE this comic. It doesn’t require any real knowledge of the Marvel Universe apart from the basics, and it’s perfect for all ages!

BROCK VS. DOOM. ‘NUFF SAID! Venom co-creator DAVID MICHELINIE returns with a brand-new story set in the sinister symbiote’s past when brains – and Spider-Man – were still on the menu! This time, he’s uniting with rising star FARID KARAMI to weave an epic, blockbuster story that will take Venom from the streets of NYC to the kingdom of Latveria as EDDIE BROCK is challenged like never before! What (or WHO) will Venom need to overcome the fiercest foe in the Marvel U? One thing’s for certain, this monster’s bringing the mayhem!
You will want to have read Venom: Lethal Protector first, as this is the follow up run to that series.

MUTANTS… OR MONSTERS? Beaten, broken and bruised after the destruction of SPIDER-MAN: UNFORGIVEN, the FORGIVEN desperately need a break but, of course, there ain’t no rest for the wicked. Body parts have mysteriously started washing up on the coast of Maine and these extraneous organs call for help from the extraordinary X-MEN! But with former bloodsucker JUBILEE in tow, the team is risking more than they know?
You’ll want to be caught up on all things X-Men (Dawn Of X part one and part two, Reign Of X, and Trials Of X coming soon) and have read Spider-Man: Unforgiven first.
Bind Ups:

Villains assemble! A new era begins for the Avengers with a fresh approach and a revamped roster including Quasar, She-Hulk and the Black Panther! But the team is soon pushed to its limits when the Lava Men attack! And when the Eternals’ home of Olympus vanishes, the trail leads to the Negative Zone. Can Sersi help the Avengers save Gilgamesh and locate her people? Then, a host of Marvel’s biggest bads join forces – and swap enemies! Thrown off-balance by an onslaught of unfamiliar foes, Avengers East and West must face Freedom Force, the U-Foes, the Mole Man and more – and discover the true architect of these Acts of Vengeance! And when the space pirate Nebula schemes to destroy the universe, will Spider-Man save the day – and join the team?!
The 19th volume in the Avengers Epic Collection.

Carnage’s reign of terror continues! When the hit video game Carnage Unleashed provides the psychopathic symbiote the opportunity to gain his freedom, can Venom keep Cletus Kasady from filling the streets with blood? Then, when the planet of the symbiotes invades Earth, get ready for the attack of the 50-Foot Carnage! Plus: A psychiatrist tries to analyze Carnage, but who will get into whose head? How did Cletus’ symbiote infect Ben Reilly? And when Venom goes on trial, can Spider-Man and Daredevil prevent Carnage from causing chaos in the courtroom?
The first volume in this series is Born In Blood.

Daredevil, the Black Widow and Shanna the She-Devil must join together to uncover the secret leaders of Black Spectre – an organization bent on bringing the United States to its knees! It’s a massive saga that will pull in heroes from across the Marvel Universe, culminating in a battle on the White House lawn! Plus: Classic villains like the Gladiator and the Owl make their returns, new enemies emerge when Death-Stalker hatches a plan that brings the Man-Thing into the fray, and Daredevil and S.H.I.E.L.D. team up to confront a renewed Hydra! And finally, the Man Without Fear’s life changes forever when Bullseye, the madman with perfect aim and no mercy, makes his deadly debut!
Previous volumes called: The Man Without Fear, Mike Murdock Must Die!, Brother Take My Hand, A Woman Without Fear and Going Out West.

Enter the secret labyrinth of Damage Control! After the mega-powered battles and Hulk-level catastrophes, Damage Control is always there to clean up the mess. But Damage Control is much more than just a glorified cleanup crew – and now Adam F. Goldberg (creator of TV’s The Goldbergs), Hans Rodionoff and artist Will Robson pull back the curtain and reveal the secret inner workings previously only available to people with Clearance Level Eight! Meet Gus: a fresh-faced, eager newcomer to the company who has no idea how chaotic his life is about to become. Guest-starring familiar faces including Moon Knight, Nightcrawler and She-Hulk! Plus: Charlotte Fullerton, spouse of DAMAGE CONTROL creator Dwayne McDuffie, scripts a never-before-seen tale of the Damage Control crew cleaning up after the Infinity Gauntlet!
The latest Damage Control miniseries in one bind up.

At last, the BLACK, WHITE & BLOOD format reaches the vigilante who was reborn to star in it! A bevy of comicdom’s finest creators put their mark upon the Fist of Khonshu in stories depicted solely in stark black, white and blood red! Meet the all-different Moon Knight of the future and wrap your head round a tale of the mixed-up marauder in reverse! Moon Knight teams up with the ever-amazing Spider-Man for a harrowing night of adventure and seeks an odd favor from Doctor Strange! Moon Knight’s four personalities come together to debrief the events of one bizarre night, and Marc Spector’s mercenary past comes back to haunt him! A blood moon is rising, and these stories look better than ever on the oversized pages of a Treasury Edition!
The exact same story and artwork as the original Moon Knight: Black, White And Blood run, just in a larger book.

Moon Knight’s longest-running series gets the Omnibus treatment! Marc Spector gets down and dirty tackling street-level crime as a vigilante of the night. But when his old nemesis Bushman conquers his homeland of Burunda, Moon Knight must renew an international rivalry against his deadliest foe – with Marlene’s life at stake! Meanwhile, Marc gains an unwanted ally in Midnight, takes on the anarchist Flag-Smasher and finds himself on trial for his crimes as a mercenary! Can Spider-Man and the Punisher help Marc root out the source of his woes? Plus: Stained Glass Scarlet seeks redemption – and Moon Knight deals with Arsenal, Chainsaw, Ghost Rider, the Hobgoblin and a sidekick’s revenge!
I’d recommend having basic Moon Knight knowledge first, but otherwise you can just pick this up with no problem.

Richard Rider is Nova, the original 1970s Human Rocket! Struck by energy sent by a dying alien, Rich has inherited the mantle of an intergalactic Nova Centurion! The newly minted hero must somehow balance schoolwork, a social life and a constant string of villains – including Condor, Powerhouse, Diamondhead, Blackout and the dreaded Sphinx, who seeks a secret that Nova doesn’t even know he’s carrying! Plus: Nova and Spider-Man unravel a murder mystery, Rich’s father is ensnared in an underworld scheme and Nova joins…the dynamic Defenders? And when the Nova Corps’ homeworld, Xandar, comes under attack, Rich and his new allies leave Earth behind to join the cosmic fray – while the Fantastic Four tackle the Sphinx!
Collecting some of the earliest Nova Richard Rider comics, so if you want to start reading his comics, this is the place to start!

Redeeming justice, like lightning! Super-powered crooks take hostages in Staten Island? A dimensional rift tears open in Chinatown? Monsters running amok at the Met? Call in the Thunder! New York City’s finest are here to save the day: Hawkeye, Spectrum, America Chavez, Power Man, Persuasion and the all-new cyber-soldier called Gutsen Glory! You know ’em, you love ’em: They’re the Thunderbolts! In the aftermath of DEVIL’S REIGN, the Big Apple has big problems, and it’s up to a new group of Thunderbolts to turn things around. But when Clint Barton is tasked with heading up this squad, the first opponent he’s going to have to face…is himself. And the second just might be his teammate Monica Rambeau! Plus: The Thunderbolts battle the rampaging Super-Apes in Central Park – and must save Manhattan from the towering threat of Terminus!
You’ll want to know about the characters mentioned (I have guides up for Hawkeye, Monica Rambeau and America Chavez) and to have read Devil’s Reign before this run.

Heads will roll in the Trials of X! It’s Halloween, and the X-Men have to face a horror born of a neighboring town in Westchester: the Headless Horseman?! And that’s not the only terror targeting them! On Krakoa, where the dead walk among the living and the unforgiveable has been forgiven, the New Mutants must battle an old foe: the psychic entity known as the Shadow King! Meanwhile, Maverick returns for a team-up with Wolverine! But when C.I.A. agent Jeff Bannister uncovers a secret surveillance device aimed at Krakoa, Logan faces a life-or-death protection mission on the run – with nowhere safe to hide!
The latest bind up in the Trials Of X series – I’ll be making a reading guide for this run when all the bind ups have been released.

WOLVERINE: WEAPON X is the character-defining origin of the man known only as Logan. Written and illustrated by auteur creator and master storyteller Barry Windsor-Smith, it is undeniably one of the greatest Wolverine stories ever told. After being taken hostage by an experimental Canadian military-science outfit, Logan is transformed into Weapon X, an unstoppable killing machine with an indestructible adamantium skeleton and razor-sharp claws. But Weapon X cannot be contained by his captors – and trapped in their lab with the monster they have made, they will face his feral wrath! It’s a psychedelic horror story in the mold of Frankenstein, restored from original art and print sources for this stunning deluxe edition!
If you’re as excited as I am about Hugh Jackman returning as Wolverine, or just want to read some more Wolverine, then this is a great run, as it covers Logan’s origins! It’s not his earliest appearance, but it should still work as a pretty good jumping off point for the character.
And that’s everything coming out this week – who is adding Avengers Beyond and Trials Of X on their pull list? Tell me down below!
