There are a fair few new releases coming this new comic book day – let’s get stuck in!

Single Issues:

Cosmic Ghost Rider by Stephanie Phillips

VENGEANCE REAWAKENED!
In a far-flung corner of deep space, Frank Castle has eked out a quiet existence, his days as Cosmic Ghost Rider finally behind him. But across the universe, a vicious bounty hunter is leaving a trail of bodies in his wake and his name is Cosmic Ghost Rider!
When Frank’s peaceful existence is shattered, he must suit up once more and face his most savage enemy yet – himself! Be there for the start of a sprawling space adventure with shocking twists and turns in the saga of Cosmic Ghost Rider!

A continuation of the previous Cosmic Ghost Rider runs, so make sure you’re all caught up on those first – I’ll have a guide up soon!

Hallows Eve by Erica Shultz

Spinning out of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, Hallows’ Eve gets her own series!
Janine Godby’s world has been blown up several times in her life, but this time. she has a bag of super-powered masks and a chip on her shoulder. She’s on the run from the police, but there’s someone else after her too. Don’t miss this breakout character break even bigger!

This is a spin off from the Dark Web event, so make sure you’ve read that first. Again, I’ll have a guide up for the event soon.

I Am Iron Man by Murewa Ayodele

Beneath the red and gold armor is a hopeless romantic, a genius inventor, a war hero, a billionaire, an Avenger, a person, TONY STARK. Dynamic Duo Murewa Ayodele and Dotun Akande (MOON KNIGHT: BLACK, WHITE & BLOOD, IRON MAN #25 and AVENGERS UNLIMITED) unite again to journey through the rich history of IRON MAN – telling stories never seen before that are set in iconic eras of ol’ Shellhead. No better way to celebrate Iron Man’s 60TH ANNIVERSARY than getting to watch him be the Earth’s mightiest hero who we love so much. Kaiju battles under the sea, alien invasions in the desert, a rescue mission in outer space, all that and more are to be expected in this new series – ideal for readers new to Iron Man and longstanding fans of the Golden Avenger.

As this says, this is perfect for new Iron Man readers and longstanding fans, so feel free to give right in!

Murderworld: Game Over by Jim Zub and Ray Fawkes

The grand finale!
The big prize! Bodies are piled high and only one person can win it all! Arcade’s darkest game comes to a close and anything can happen…especially if Natasha Romanoff has something to say about it. Arcade’s circus-style contests have been a punchline in the past, but writers Ray Fawkes (One Soul, Constantine) and Jim Zub (AVENGERS, CONAN THE BARBARIAN) and artist Netho Diaz (THUNDERBOLTS, LEGION OF X) are here to put the “murder” back in “Murderworld.” Don’t miss it!

The finale to the Murderworld storyline, so again, make sure you’ve read all the previous issues first. Again, I’ll have a guide up when the bind ups arrive.

Rogue And Gambit by Stephanie Phillips

DESTINY STRIKES YOUR FAVORITE X-MEN DUO!
Krakoa is on a precipice. Destiny alone can see what’s coming – but the precog cannot act. For that, she’ll need her adoptive daughter, Rogue. Husbands need not apply! But with mutant duties stealing Rogue away so much these days, Gambit is determined to make the most of the mission and put some Cajun spice back into their increasingly complicated love affair. He just has to make it out of the bar first. Powerhouse writer Stephanie Phillips (Harley Quinn, Wonder Woman, Millie the Spy) joins fan-favorite artist Carlos Gomez (X-Terminators, Amazing Spider-Man) for a thrill ride that’ll lay bare some of Krakoa’s biggest secrets!

The next part in the X-Men Krakoa Saga – I gave guides for Dawn of X (part one and two) and then Reign of X, and I’m working on Trials now.

Spider-Gwen: Shadow Clones by Emily Kim

GHOST-SPIDER’S LIFE TURNS UPSIDE DOWN!
Ghost-Spider comes face-to-face with some of the deadliest Spider-Man villains, including Doc Ock, Sandman, Vulture and more! But wait! Why do they all look like Gwen! Writer EMILY KIM (SILK) and artist KEI ZAMA (AVENGERS MECH STRIKE) take Gwen down a twisted path as she must stop whoever is cloning her into infamous Marvel villains!

I recommend knowing a bit about Spider-Gwen before reading this, I’ll have a guide up for her before Across The Spider-Verse comes out later this year.

Spider-Man: Unforgiven by Tim Seeley

SPIDER-MAN GETS THE FRIGHT – AND FIGHT – OF HIS LIFE!
RAIZO KODO and the clanless vampires of the FORGIVEN scour the underworld for the most dangerous ghouls and creatures known to man! But when former Sorceress Supreme SALOM returns with a devastatingly devious plan, these moral monsters might run into more trouble than they bargained for. And mixed up in the middle of it all is the one and only AMAZING SPIDER-MAN!

The Unforgiven come from Fear Itself: Hulk Vs Dracula from 2011 and are going to be popping up all over the Marvel Universe this year. The team consists of a bunch of vampires who want to fight crime, and fight their own natures – there will be a reading order once everything has come out.

Bind Ups:

Defenders Beyond by Al Ewing

Defending reality itself! Acclaimed creators Al Ewing and Javier Rodroguez follow up their mind-bending first arc with a brand-new saga and an all-new lineup, including everyone’s favorite trickster: Loki, God of Stories! When the dearly departed Doctor Strange sends a dire warning from beyond the grave, America Chavez, the Blue Marvel, Tigra and Loki assemble alongside Taaia – mother of Galactus – for an incredible journey that takes them all the way back to the Second Cosmos! But not everybody will make it out unscathed. Featuring the long-awaited return of the Beyonder – and he’s not the only cosmic powerhouse the Defenders will need to contend with. Enter the Phoenix!

The previous volume is There Are No Rules, and I also recommend knowing about Doctor Strange (and his death), Loki, America Chavez, Blue Marvel, Taaia, Tigra and Pheonix.

Eternals: History Written In Blood by Kieron Gillen and others

As Thanos rises to threaten the future, learn lessons in history from the Eternals’ mythic past! Eternals are created, not born. Some of them thought they could find a better way. They were terribly, terribly wrong. Now that the truth of their existence is revealed, Ajak and Makkari must try to find a road forward – no matter how terrifying it will be. And believe it or not, Thanos is not actually the worst leader that the Eternals’ society has ever seen. That honor belongs to someone even more horrific. Meet Uranos the Undying. And may the Celestials have mercy on your souls. Plus: a classic exploration of Chronos, Uranos and the hidden origins of the Eternals!

This is listed as volume 1.5, so it goes between Only Death Is Eternal and Hail Thanos, and features a few one shots and a collection of What If…? stories from 1977.

Guardians Of The Galaxy by Brian Michael Bendis Omnibus volume 1

Blockbuster writer Brian Michael Bendis takes on Marvel’s misfit movie stars! Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket Raccoon and Groot assemble alongside the Avengers to thwart Thanos’ latest scheme – and they take Iron Man back into space with them! They’ll face the wrath of the Badoon, Peter Quill’s father and – once again – the infinite threat of Thanos! But can anything prepare them for Angela? The Guardians will add new recruits and fight alongside the X-Men, but which team members will end up star-crossed lovers? And when SECRET WARS obliterates the galaxy, what will be left to guard?

A huge bind up of Brian Michael Bendis’ Guardians Of The Galaxy run also ties into his X-Men’s run and Secret Wars, so be prepared to have a LOT of extra reading around this omnibus.

Immortal Iron Fist: Immortal Weapons Omnibus volume 1 by Ed Brubaker and others

Iron Fist is explored like never before in these epic adventures steeped in fable, magic and hard-hitting martial arts action! After learning the hard way that the Iron Fist’s centuries-spanning legacy holds more secrets than he ever dreamed, Danny is called to K’un-Lun to fight in a tournament against the Immortal Weapons of the Seven Capital Cities of Heaven! But can he ferret out a conspiracy against K’un-Lun? Plus: The noir adventures of Orson Randall, the previous Iron Fist – and amazing solo tales of the fan-favorite Immortal Weapons!

The first volume in the Ed Brubaker Immortal Iron Fist run – I’d recommend having some knowledge on Iron Fist, but you should generally be able to dive in.

X-Men Animated Series: Further Adventures by Ralph Macchio and others

Animated-style adventures from one of the X-Men’s greatest eras! Wolverine tackles the Hulk and Cyclops battles demons, while Beast and Gambit face Mister Sinister’s evil machinations – with help from Spider-Man! When Magneto and his Brotherhood commit an act of war, it triggers the coming of Apocalypse! Gambit finds himself in the middle of a showdown between the Thieves and Assassins Guilds, and the X-Men battle Sabretooth, the Sentinels and more – but will they become media darlings in the maddening MojoAnd when the Shi’ar Empire, the Watcher, the Living Tribunal and more gather, brace yourself for a big finish on a cosmic scale! Plus: The X-Men take on Juggernaut, Mystique, the Morlocks and more in rarely-seen tales!

The first volume is called The Adaptions Omnibus.

X-Men by Gerry Duggan volume 3

Mutants are the next stage of evolution. Evolution depends on mutation – the genes of the offspring deviating from their progenitors. Some would call the X-gene “excess deviation” – namely, the Eternals. Those people are gonna need to be taken down a few pegs. As the seismic events of A.X.E. rock the Marvel Universe, Judgment Day is here, for good or ill. And the newest team of X-Men must face the truth about themselves – and what they’ve done! Plus: Fear the Children of the Vault! They are hyper-evolved humans from a society whose time moves much faster than our own. Each time the X-Men defeat them, they retreat to their home, evolving further to a more advanced generation. This time, they will not be stopped so easily. And elsewhere, what secret mission has Forge taken on?

The first volumes are just numbered 1 and 2, and are a part of the larger X-Men run – reading guides linked up above.

And that’s everything coming out this week! What’s going on your pull list? For me, I’m looking at Murderworld and Eternals!
