It’s Sunday, and we all know the drill by now – it’s time to go through all the new Marvel Comic releases of the week!
Single Issues:

COLLECTED FOR THE FIRST TIME! One of the best buddy pairings in comics – Wonder Man and the bouncing Beast! You may know Hank McCoy more as an X-Man, but during his time as an Avenger, he developed a fine bromance with the super hero and actor Simon Williams! When a newly back-from-the-dead Wonder Man heads back to California with some making up to do, the Beast tags along to provide moral support in AVENGERS TWO: WONDER MAN AND BEAST #1-3, from the wondrous creative pairing of Roger Stern and Mark Bagley! But Wonder Man’s return to L.A. has not gone unnoticed by his old adversaries – most notably, Lady Lotus! And the big trouble really begins when the towering It, the Living Colossus attacks the City of Angels! Can the Beast and Wonder Man save Tinseltown and bury the ghosts from Simon’s past?
Originally released in the year 2000, and definitely not for anyone who doesn’t recognise all the names in the synopsis – but, I will be doing a Wonder Man guide when he makes his MCU debut in the semi-near future (and, obviously, I’ll also be doing a guide on Beast too, when he turns up!)

Fashion designer, businesswoman, founding Avenger – Janet Van Dyne has worn many hats over the course of her super heroic career. But when an old enemy threatens Janet and her fellow Wasp, Nadia, seemingly against his will, the Van Dynes will have to confront the ghosts in their shared history to get to the bottom of the mystery.
Again, not really one for anyone who isn’t familiar with the Van Dyne’s – watch this space though, as I’ll be doing a lot of Ant Man and the Wasp posts next month, in time for Quantumania’s release!
Bind Ups:

The coming of Carnage! When Venom’s offspring transforms psychopath Cletus Kasady into a symbiotic serial killer, Peter Parker makes the hardest decision of his life – and turns to Venom for help! But will Eddie Brock join the fight, or will he continue his single-minded mission to squash Spider-Man? Plus: Spider-Man enters the Lizard’s lair – and faces a powerful enemy alongside the New Warriors! And when Spidey is haunted by Kraven the Hunter, can the web-slinger save the soul of his fiercest foe? Then, when familiar faces make a startling return, Spidey must investigate a painful piece of his past – assuming he can get through Taskmaster and the Red Skull!
Volumes currently available are: Great Power, Great Responsibility, Spider-Man No More, The Goblin Lives, The Secret Of The Petrified Tablet, The Death Of Captain Stacy, The Goblin’s Last Stand, Man-Wolf At Midnight, Spider-Man Or Spider-Clone?, Ghosts Of The Past, Kraven’s Last Hunt, Venom, Assassin Nation, Cosmic Adventures, Return Of The Sinister Six and Round Robin. There are a lot of volumes missing in this series, specifically volumes 9-14, so be prepared to be missing a large chunk of the story as you read through this series.

Ant-Man gets a little (and big) help from his fellow size-changing super heroes! Scott teams up with Janet Van Dyne, the original Wasp, on a fight for freedom in Dimension Z – and Nadia Pym, the new Wasp, on an incredible journey to the subatomic realm! But when the War of the Realms spills onto Earth, Scott must Giant-Man-up with three more towering titans to take on the Asgardian Frost Giants and complete a vital mission! Plus: Scott and his daughter – Cassie, A.K.A. Stinger – do a bit of family bonding with the fate of the world in their tiny hands! And Ant-Man and Drax tackle some Miami vice!
Probably best to be caught up on everyone mentioned here (again, I’ll have guides up on Scott, Hank, Janet, Cassie, etc next month) and be prepared to read War Of The Realms too, as this ties into that event.

Jonathan Hickman’s groundbreaking run comes to an explosive end! First, explore the future and the past: Witness the Fantastic Four of the year 3030 and learn the secret history of Marvel’s First Family! Then, follow the team on a journey through an alien landscape as a life hangs in the balance! And when the fallout from the Kree-Inhuman war threatens galactic peace, how will it affect Ronan and Crystal? Meanwhile, the Panther God decides the fate of T’Challa. Who will be the Black Panther? And the kids of the Future Foundation explore the farthest reaches of the Marvel Universe, from Wakanda to the Negative Zone! But when the Wizard returns to claim his “son” Bentley-23, the Fantastic Four and the Future Foundation must join forces to save him!
Previous volumes are simply numbered 1-3, so much sure you’ve read those before going into this!

In the entire Marvel-Verse, there are few legacies bigger than those of its tiniest heroes, Ant-Man and the Wasp! Get to know these mini-Marvels in some of their most exciting adventures! First, meet scientist Hank Pym, whose pioneering Pym Particles prove the key to shrinking down and suiting up together with his crime-fighting partner, Janet Van Dyne! But will Hank master the art of communicating with ants in time to escape from a big problem? Then, a desperate man named Scott Lang has no option but to steal the Ant-Man suit to save his daughter’s life! Scott goes on to inherit the Ant-mantle, but can he handle an interdimensional rescue mission alongside Jan?
A must if you want to get to know Hank and Janet before their next MCU adventure in Quantumania next month, as this holds their origin story!

A dire threat. A dangerous mystery. And only the toughest heroes of the Marvel Universe can save the day! Ms. Marvel is taking matters into her own embiggened hands – but with Krakoan tech compromised, you can bet Wolverine and the X-Men won’t be far behind! The best there is at what he does joins one of the Marvel Universe’s brightest heroes to kick off an action-packed adventure – but to solve this conundrum, Kamala Khan will need to rub shoulders with more dark vigilantes! When a mechanical (and maniacal!) evil brings her into Moon Knight’s orbit, the gravity of what they uncover will require them to plumb the depths of life and death! But can anything prepare Kamala for a team-up with Venom?!
Collecting Ms Marvel’s recent team-up series into one easy-to-read volume, so make sure you at least know the basics of Ms Marvel and be up to date with the X-Men and their Krakoan home, Venom and Moon Knight before you dive in!

Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley continue their sensational, 21st century reimagining of the world’s greatest super hero! As life gets ever more complicated for Peter Parker, Spider-Man faces off against an explosive new teenage villain, has another run-in with the infamous Kingpin of Crime and meets the Black Cat – a jewel thief who will complicate Spidey’s career and Peter’s love life! But nothing can prepare him for the moment that the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Electro, Kraven the Hunter and Sandman unite. That’s five of Spider-Man’s deadliest foes – so who will be the final member of the Ultimate Six?! Plus: Peter goes Hollywood for Spider-Man: The Movie! Spidey teams up with Wolverine and the Human Torch! And prepare for the Ultimate Universe’s shocking version of Carnage!
Just make sure to have the first volume in this omnibus series before reading this one!

Larry Hama and Marc Silvestri reinvent Wolverine’s world! Logan smashes a drug ring in Madripoor, encounters the mythical Hunter in Darkness and relives the Spanish Civil War with his old pal Puck! The Reavers cook up the deadly doppelganger Albert and his explosive partner, Elsie-Dee! Sabretooth returns, convinced he’s Wolverine’s father! And determined to uncover the secrets of his past, Logan and Jubilee investigate the Weapon X facility! But as suppressed memories bubble to the surface, can Professor X and Jean Grey unlock the mysteries inside Wolverine’s head? Plus: The sadistic Cyber debuts, Mojo and Omega Red strike and Logan suffers a terrible loss!
The ultimate collection of Wolverine’s earliest adventures, so if you want to get to know him, this is the series to read! Just make sure you have the first two volumes, or this one won’t make much sense!

Enter Cerebrax! As Wolverine returns to Krakoa, a mind-melding new threat grips the island via a security flaw that X-Force will have to patch – with extreme prejudice! Where does Cerebrax come from, and what does it want with Forge? Its hunger for minds is insatiable – but when Cerebrax absorbs the consciousnesses and powers of Krakoa’s most powerful mutants, X-Force will need to step it up, big time! But just as Quentin Quire starts to live up to his potential, Cerebrax targets the biggest mutant of all: Krakoa itself! A fight this big is going to take all the power Xcan muster! Plus: Now that Earth has a new dominant species in mutantkind, it’s time for Kraven the Hunter to prove once more that he remains the apex predator!
Make sure you’ve got the first 4 volumes and you’re not also collecting Reign Of X before getting this one.

Continuing the saga of Marvel’s original mutant team! Hank McCoy sets off on his own, taking a research job – but his scientific curiosity will curse him forever when an experiment gone wrong transforms him into a fanged, furry Beast! Meanwhile, the other X-Men find themselves pursued by a secret adversary that seeks to pick them off one by one. They must join forces with Captain America to save the nation and rescue their mutant comrades! Also featuring the first appearances of Wolverine and Madrox the Multiple Man, an X-Men/Avengers battle against Magneto, and a host of rare covers!
The previous three volumes are called Children Of The Atom, Lonely Are The Hunted and The Sentinels Live and you can get to I, Magneto before volumes start going missing!
And that’s everything coming out this week! Who else is looking at all the Ant Man and The Wasp issues and volumes for their pull list? Tell me in the comments below!
