And Wakanda’s secret police are far from the only force T’Challa has to reckon with as the fallout from his lies explodes in ways he could never have foreseen! The Black Panther returns to the Avengers – but after the situation in Wakanda, Captain America isn’t convinced T’Challa’s head is in the game. When a dangerous galactic interloper called the Colonialist arrives to conquer the Earth, can T’Challa overcome his current woes and rise to the occasion?

First volume is called The Long Shadow.

Captain Carter: Woman Out Of Time by Jamie McKelvie

This new Sentinel of Liberty is a shield-slinging sensation! A reality where S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Peggy Carter took the Super-Soldier Serum instead of Steve Rogers is turned upside down when the World War II hero is pulled from the ice where she was lost in action decades before! Now Peggy struggles to find her footing in a modern world that’s gotten a lot more complicated: Cities are louder, technology is smarter and enemies wear friendly faces. Everyone with an agenda wants Captain Carter on their side, but what does Peggy want? As she teams with S.T.R.I.K.E. to investigate Hydra’s sudden resurgence, something doesn’t feel quite right. Can Peggy trust what she’s being told, or is someone trying to use her as a high-profile pawn in a game she doesn’t yet understand?

Collecting Captain Carter’s origin story, so if you were a fan of her in What If…? or Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, then you can read this without reading anything else first!

Fantastic Four volume 11: Reckoning War Part II by Dan Slott

The Reckoning War reaches its cosmic conclusion! As oblivion approaches, will Victor Von Doom be the hero the universe needs? The last time the mysterious Cormorant struck, he destroyed the Baxter Building and the Latverian Embassy, completely overpowered the Fantastic Four and left without anyone even laying a hand on him. Now, for the sake of the universe, Doctor Doom must face him alone! At the Apex of All Reality, the fate of the Marvel Universe will soon be decided. And no matter who wins, nothing will ever be the same again! This is not hyperbole. This is happening. The Reckoning War will carry grave consequences – for the FF, their extended family…and everybody else! To see where all the pieces fall and what lies ahead, you’re going to want to read this one, Marvelite!

Previous volumes are called: Fourever, Mr And Mrs Grimm, The Herald Of Doom, Thing Vs Immortal Hulk, Point Of Origin, Empyre, The Forever Gate, The Bride of Doom, Eternal Flame and Reckoning War Part I.

Incredible Hulk Epic Collection: Fall Of The Pantheon by Peter David

Then, it’s the end of an era as the Pantheon is torn apart from within! Agamemnon stands trial, one among them falls and the Hulk’s rage transforms him into a savage?Bruce Banner?! While Doc Samson strives to save Bruce’s mind, Betty battles for her life – and the stage is set for a new status quo. In hiding and struggling to remain calm, the Hulk takes on Man-Thing, the Abomination and the Punisher! Plus: Hulk shares a symbiotic showdown with Venom and joins Hank Pym and the Wasp in a true Tale to Astonish!

Previous Hulk volumes are: Man Or Monster?, The Hulk Must Die, The Leader Lives, In The Hands Of Hydra, Who Will Judge The Hulk?, Crisis On Counter-Earth, And Now… The Wolverine, Crossroads, Going Gray, Ghost Of The Past and Future Imperfect.

Invaders Omnibus by Roy Thomas and more

Long before Captain America led the Avengers, he joined the original Human Torch, Namor the Sub-Mariner and more as the mightiest heroes of World War II – the Invaders! With young adventurers Bucky and Toro by their side, they charged into overseas action, taking on Nazi threats such as Baron Blood, Master Man, Warrior Woman and the vilest of them all – the Red Skull! Along the way, the Invaders made new allies including Union Jack, Spitfire and the Liberty Legion. And witness the heroes of two eras collide, as the Invaders battle alongside the Avengers and the Fantastic Four!

The first time Namor joined a team, so if you want to see some of his earliest run-ins with other heroes, check this out!

Marvel Masterworks Fantastic Four volume 24 by John Bryne and Barry Windsor-Smith

Combining a cosmic scope with a heartfelt, earthbound humanism, John Byrne’s run on FANTASTIC FOUR remains a high point in Marvel history. The Marvel Masterworks continues its collection of that epic era, pitting the FF against Terrax the Terrible, former herald of Galactus – now in the thrall of Doctor Doom! Then, Reed Richards finds himself on trial in a Shi’ar courtroom for the crime of rescuing Galactus! The Torch and Thing take on the Mole Man, the Beyonder cometh…and welcome to the FF, She-Hulk! Plus: In one of the FF’s most emotional stories, a desperate Reed and Sue place the fate of their unborn child in the hands of Otto Octavius!

Previous volumes are simply numbered 1-23.

New Mutants volume 3 by Vita Ayala

The labors of Magik! Illyana Rasputin is the Sorcerer Supreme and rightful queen of the hellish dimension known as Limbo. But she’s been awfully busy on Krakoa, and someone’s got their eye on Limbo’s empty throne! As Madelyne Pryor, the resurgent Goblin Queen, makes her move, Magik ends up separated from Limbo – and facing an enemy she thought she had banished long ago! With her Soulsword shattered, Illyana is forced to confront her legacy. But as she spirals ever further into unfamiliar territory, will she drag her teammates Mirage and Wolfsbane down with her? And while Magik faces the demons of her past, present and future, Madelyne Pryor inches ever closer to the flaming throne of Limbo!

As always my advice stays the same with anything to do with the latest X-Men run. If you collect bind ups named Dawn of X/Reign of X etc, you don’t need this, if you collect things as New Mutants, X-Factor, X-Men, etc, then this is the next one you need in the New Mutants run.

Wolverine Omnibus volume 2 by Peter David

The best there is, by some of comics’ greatest talents! Wolverine and Havok are drawn into a web of espionage in Russia! An old friend’s death leads Logan to Nick Fury, but what is the surprising secret under the new Scorpio’s mask? On the cutthroat island of Madripoor, Wolverine and Jessica Drew take on an evil cult that plans to raise an ancient demon! Wolverine battles an unexpected foe in the jungles of the Savage Land – but when he follows a trail of tainted cocaine to Central America, can a young revolutionary help a sick and infected Logan survive against Tiger Shark? Plus: Wolverine crosses paths with Spider-Man, Hulk, Ghost Rider and more!

First volume is just called volume 1.

X-Men First Class: Road Trips by Jeff Parker

More early adventures of the young X-Men! Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Angel, Beast and Iceman, Professor X’s very first students at the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters, taught the world what it meant to be X-Men – and heroes. And these are the hidden stories of the team that laid the foundation of a mutant dynasty! Featuring a visit from the Fantastic Four’s Invisible Girl, a mission to Monster Island and a vacation road trip Hank and Bobby style! But when the mutant-hunting Sentinels set their sights on Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, can the depowered X-Men save their friends from extermination? Plus: The fledgling heroes encounter shape-shifting Skrulls from outer space, the swamp-dwelling creature called the Man-Thing and the super-spy known as Black Widow! And Marvel Girl and the Scarlet Witch become besties while battling the Mole Man and more!

I’d recommend knowing a bit about the characters mentioned, but seeing as this goes back to the original team, you can probably get away with basic knowledge of the team and that’s it.

And that’s everything coming out this week! What’s going on your pull list? I’m going for Fantastic Four reckoning War II and Captain Carter!
