11th May Marvel Comic Releases

Only seven new releases this week!

Single Issues:

Captain America: Symbol Of Truth by Tochi Onyebuchi

Sam Wilson picks up the shield once more – and enters a world of trouble! Following a lead from Misty Knight, Sam intercepts a mysterious group hijacking what appears to be an empty train. As he digs deeper, he discovers that the plot may be connected to a crucial piece of Captain America history…and, surprisingly, Wakanda. The world is ready for two Captain Americas – but is Sam Wilson ready for what comes next?

You’ll definitely need to know about Sam’s time as Captain America before reading this.

Hulk Vs Thor: Banner War Alpha by Donny Cates

Hulk and Thor have both undergone massive changes recently, but one thing remains constant – their heated rivalry! When mysterious circumstances bring them into conflict once more, will the God of Thunder be able to triumph against a Bruce Banner who can now control his rage?
Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of both characters, this epic five-part crossover between the THOR and HULK series starts here in this oversized Alpha issue, brought to you by creators Donny Cates and Martin Coccolo! Key mysteries from both series will be revealed, as well as shocking consequences for the future of both characters! (Continued in May’s THOR #25 and HULK #7!)

You’ll want to be caught up on the latest Thor and Hulk runs at the very least before reading this.

Moon Knight: Black, White And Blood by Jonathan Hickman and others

A BLOOD MOON RISES – AND ITS CONTENTS ARE BLACK, WHITE & RED!
A bevy of comicdom’s finest creators put their mark upon the Fist of Khonshu in stories depicted in stark black, white and blood-red! Jonathan Hickman and Chris Bachalo introduce the all-different Moon Knight of the future! Marc Guggenheim and Jorge Fornés tell a Moon Knight adventure in reverse!
And Murewa Ayodele and Dotun Akande team the white-clad crusader up with the Amazing Spider-Man for a harrowing night of adventure!

I’d recommend, again, having at least a basic idea of who Moon Knight (and Spider-Man) is – luckily, I’ve been posting about Moon Knight for the last six weeks, so I’ve got all the information you need!

Bind Ups:

She-Hulk Epic Collection: Breaking The Fourth Wall by John Byrne and others

She’s done being savage – now it’s time to be sensational! Comics legend John Byrne launches She-Hulk’s second solo series with a twist – because Shulkie knows she’s a character in a comic book! As the jade giantess smashes the glass ceiling at her new law firm, she does the same to the “fourth wall” between character and audience – quipping with readers and arguing with her comic’s creators as she takes on bizarre foes including the Circus of Crime, the Toad Men, Stilt-Man and Xemnu the Titan! Plus: Jen meets Golden Age hero the Blonde Phantom and learns harsh lessons about the rules of comics!
The mayhem of Madcap! A wedding proposal like no other! And She-Hulk: The Movie?!

This is volume 3 in the Epic Collection, but it’s the first one that’s been printed. Hopefully, the first two will be released in time for the She-Hulk tv show.

Moon Knight Omnibus volume 2 by Doug Moench and others

The end of the beginning! Doug Moench and Bill Sienkiewicz’s landmark, critically acclaimed run comes to a close. But first Moon Knight must survive threats old and new – including the madness of Morpheus, the deadly return of Stained Glass Scarlet, the devious Black Spectre and a rematch against the Werewolf by Night! Moon Knight teams with Iron Man, Brother Voodoo, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man and more – but when tragedy strikes, the dead walk and secrets come to light, will Moon Knight meet his final rest? Or will he rise again, reinvigorated as the Fist of Khonshu?

The first volume is just called Volume 1.

Marvel-Verse: Jane Foster Mighty Thor by Jason Aaron and others

In all the Marvel-Verse, nobody is mightier than Thor, Goddess of Thunder! When the Odinson found himself unworthy of wielding Mjolnir, Dr. Jane Foster raised the hammer aloft and took command of the lightning! Now, get to know Jane in some of her most legendary adventures – proving her worth as Thor to the Warriors Three and leading the League of Realms on a daring rescue mission pitting her against the evil Malekith and his ally Kurse! Then, Jane embraces a new heroic legacy! Plus: Revisit Jane’s younger days alongside the Odinson and discover the startling answer to the question: What if Jane Foster had found Thor’s hammer years earlier?

A collection of Jane Foster’s time as Thor, for anyone looking for things to read before Thor Love And Thunder comes out!

Hawkeye Kate Bishop by Marieke Nijkamp

Get ready for your favorite Hawkeye in a high-octane thriller! Kate Bishop has her sights set on the Big Apple, but a lot has changed since she was last in New York. So before she completes her journey back, she’s taken on a pit-stop case first. A confidence-booster, to prove to herself she’s making the right decision and not going to backslide into her old ways just by changing time zones. Besides, the case is perfect: Swanky resort? Check. Jewel heist? Check. Almost definitely one hundred percent a trap? Check! But when Kate learns who invited her to Resort Chapiteau in the first place, she has a triple mystery on her hands: Can she find a missing girl, discover what the resort is hiding and work out what all of it has to do with her family?

Kate’s latest one-shot, for anyone who wants more of her after Hawkeye!

And that’s everything coming out this week! What are you putting on your pull list? I’m looking at Kate Bishop’s new run!
