Mini Bio: Kate grew up in New York, the daughter of a rich publishing magnate, but she had a lonely childhood. Her father was emotionally distant, her mother estranged until she died, her sister did not understand her, which lead to a tense relationship between them. Due to this, Kate grew up stubborn and determined to be completely independent.
As a child, Kate witnessed her father beating someone up in his office, and she decided to investigate what was going on. She was captured by a villain known as El Matador, and just as she was escaping, she witnessed the Avengers defeating Matador, and decided to look up to Hawkeye. After an assault in Central Park, Kate took up archery and martial arts, as well as seeing a therapist to sort through her emotions.
Kate became a member of the Young Avengers after they attempted to save her sister’s wedding from an attack, though they only caused more harm than good, and Kate ended up saving the team instead. Kate and Cassie Lang, daughter of Ant-Man, teamed up to find the Young Avengers and invited themselves onto the team. After Captain America told the new team to disband, Kate provided a new lair, costumes and weaponry for the team, and became a co-leader with Patriot, aka Eli Bradley.
Since then, Kate has teamed up with Clint in New York, gone to space with the Young Avengers, and started her own detective agency, Hawkeye Investigations, in Los Angeles.
