New releases a little thin for this week’s new comic book day, but there’s still a lot of great things coming out!
Single Issues:

“INFINITE DESTINIES” CONTINUES!
• Felicia Hardy’s vacation is interrupted when a layover in South Korea turns into an insane caper.
• This caper is a deadly journey across Seoul, where she comes face to face with Taegukgi, White Fox and Tiger Division (from TASKMASTER #3)!
• And what does this have to do with the Infinity Stones? Find out this June!
This is the third issue in the Infinite Destinies event, which is going to affect a lot of the Marvel Comic Universe going forward! The first two are Iron Man Annual 1 and Captain America Annual 1.

• The epic conclusion of THE CHAMELEON CONSPIRACY!
• If you thought the end of “King’s Ransom” shook Spider-Man to the core, you better think again as this ending will level things up.
I recommend reading Nick Spencer’s Spider-Man run before reading this, so you have the full story. The previous volumes are: Back To Basics, Friends And Foes, Lifetime Achievement, Hunted, Behind The Scenes, Absolute Carnage, 2099, Threats And Menaces, Sins Rising, Green Goblin Returns, Last Remains, Shattered Web and The Kings Ransom.

The shield has been stolen! No one understands the value of the shield like those who’ve wielded it, so Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson set out on a road trip across America to chase down the thief.
But instead, they find the Captains, everyday people from all walks of life who’ve taken up the mantle of Captain America to defend their communities. And for some reason, the shield thief wants them all dead. Can Sam and Steve get to them first?
This was created to celebrate 80 years of Captain America, so this will definitely require some pre-reading! I would recommend looking up a bit of Sam’s time as Captain America though, just for a bit of back story though.
Bind Ups:

After the Dawn comes the Reign! In the wake of X OF SWORDS, it’s one giant leap for mutantkind as Krakoa turns its attentions to space – and relaunches S.W.O.R.D.! Back on Krakoa, Cyclops and his allies grapple with the ramifications of their recent ordeal and the fateful decisions that were made – setting in motion the X-Men’s next evolution! Meanwhile, the resurrection protocols have been thrown into chaos – and as the Five deal with the fallout, it’s up to X-Factor to restore order! And as Sinister continues to scheme, the recently reborn Hellions face an urgent mission to retrieve Nanny’s ship and build new armour for a transformed – and deadly – Orphan-Maker!
You definitely need to read House Of X/Powers Of X, Dawn Of X and X of Swords before even looking at this bind up! I’ll have a part 2 to my Dawn Of X reading guide up soon, I’m currently just waiting for some more bind ups in this series to release first!

The planet-burning cosmic firebird known as the Phoenix Force has returned – and the Avengers are drawn into a globe-spanning battle for ultimate power! In the distant past of One Million B.C.E., one young girl’s only crime was being born with red hair…and her destiny will change human history forever! In the present, the Phoenix Force searches the globe for a new avatar – and many of Marvel’s most powerful heroes and villains are contenders! As the battle to wield the Phoenix grows ever bloodier and more desperate, Thor leads the Avengers in a fight to contain it. But the quest is complicated by the Thunder God’s mysterious connection to the cosmic firebird! Who will be the all-new Phoenix?! Plus: Blade pays a dark price in the fight against the King in Black!
The previous volumes are: The Final Host, World Tour, War Of The Vampires, No Road Home, War Of The Realms, Challenge Of The Ghost Riders, Starbrand Reborn and The Age Of Khonshu. This is also ties into King In Black and Heroes Reborn, so be prepared to read those too! Luckily, King In Black’s bind up is being released this week too, and Heroes Reborn should be along soon!

A journey into the mind of one of the biggest heads in the Marvel Universe! M.O.D.O.K. is the ruthless and brilliant leader of the terrorist organisation A.I.M., outsmarting heroes and outmaneuvering cutthroat colleagues gunning for his position. But haunting memories of a family he never had leave him unsure whether he’s losing his freakishly large mind or if there’s something more sinister behind these visions. M.O.D.O.K.’s quest to uncover the truth will find him teaming up with the most unlikely of allies: Iron Man! But can M.O.D.O.K. untangle the mystery before his many foes take advantage of his weakness – for good?
I’d recommend reading some M.O.D.O.K. before reading this specific volume, as it may be a bit confusing to newbies.

KING IN BLACK by Donny Cates
Darkness reigns! After a campaign of terror across the galaxy, Knull reaches Earth – and he hasn’t come alone! With an army of hundreds of thousands of symbiote dragons at his command, the King in Black is a force unlike any Earth’s heroes have ever faced. Eddie Brock, A.K.A. Venom, has seen firsthand the chaos that even one of Knull’s monsters can wreak. Can anyone possibly survive this onslaught? Outgunned and outmanned, Earth’s heroes are reeling. It will take everything they’ve got to face the God of the Abyss as he ensnares the planet in everlasting darkness! Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman present the definitive chapter in their three-year-long VENOM saga that changed everything you thought you knew about symbiotes – and they’re raising the stakes for the entire Marvel Universe! Hail to the king!
Finally, the bind up of the main King In Black event! I’d definitely recommend reading the Donny Cates Venom run first – I’ll have a guide up next month!
And that’s everything coming out this week – what’s on your pull list? I’m definitely getting Reign Of X!
