Mini Bio: Loki was born a Frost Giant, the son of King Laufey. He was small for a Frost Giant, so Laufey hid him away from the world – but, when Laufey was killed by Odin in combat, Odin took Loki in. He raised him as his own, alongside Thor in Asgard.

But, Loki was always treated differently to Thor – Asgardians regarded strength in battle to be of great value, and Thor proved to be better than Loki. But, what Loki lacked in strength, he made up for in his magical abilities, which grew into a talent for mischief, earning him the name of ‘God Of Mischief’.

But, the mischief grew into malice, and Loki became hungry for power and revenge, which spilled over from Asgard and onto Earth. Loki’s schemes led to the creation of the Avengers, and he became a regular villain for the team.

During various adventures, Loki has been a villain and an anti-hero. He’s been reincarnated several times, has appeared in child and adult form, and has generally been an unpredictable element in Marvel comics for years, cementing him as a fan favourite character.
