Who Is The Power Broker?

WARNING: SPOILERS FOR FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER. DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THE FIRST THREE EPISODES OF THE SHOW!

The mysterious Power Broker has been mentioned several times now in Falcon and The Winter Soldier, but, who is he, and what does this mean for the MCU?

Your answers are down below!

Who Is The Power Broker?

The Power Broker is a shadowy character from the Marvel Comics, who gives people powers – for a price.

His real name is Doctor Karl Malus, and to say the least, his experiments come with an extreme risk of dying. But, people still come to him for his power enhancing procedures. Karl saw the opportunity, and mixed incredibly addictive drugs into his serums, making his test subjects addicted and in his control (think Extremis from Iron Man 3 and you’ll have an idea of what I mean).

Who has he enhanced?

Karl has enhanced a lot of people over the years, but there’s only a few names you’ll know – specifically, John Walker and Lemar Hoskins – our new Captain America and Battlestar. Currently, they don’t have powers in the TV show, but, it isn’t too much of a stretch to think that at least John will likely seek out the Power Broker to enhance his strength at some point in the next three episodes.

What does this mean for Falcon And The Winter Soldier?

As I just mentioned, it probably will lead to John Walker, and maybe even Lemar Hoskins, seeking out the Power Broker to gain powers of their own. John is already showing signs of frustration, and has been shown up by Sam and Bucky, it is entirely possible that he’ll want to get himself some powers too.

I also suspect we’ll get more reveals about others using the Power Broker to gain powers, but only time will tell!

And that’s everything I’ve got on the Power Broker – what are your theories about him? Is there anything else you’d like to know about him? Let me know in the comments and I’ll do my best to answer the question!
