SPOILERS FOR FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN ALL THREE EPISODES
Baron Zemo has officially joined the cast of Falcon And The Winter Soldier, so it’s time to get to know him a little better with a character profile!
Name: Helmut Zemo
Villain Name: Baron Zemo
Created By: Stan Lee and Jack Kirby

Dan Mora and Edgar Delgado
Played By: Daniel Bruhl
Powers: Master strategist, swordsman and combatant
Mini Bio: In the comics, there have been 13 Baron Zemo’s – it’s a name passed down the Zemo family line, but I’m going to focus specifically and on Helmut and his father, Heinrich.
Heinrich was one of the top scientists of the Nazi party in World War II, who helped create multiple weapons of mass destruction. To give himself some anonymity, he started wearing a reddish purple hood over his head, but he still attracted the attention of Captain America. During a fight between the two, Zemo was covered in Adhesive X – a compound he had made which was so strong, the adhesive would never wear off, meaning his mask was permanently stuck to his face.
Zemo tried to get revenge several times, creating the Masters Of Evil, a group of supervillains to fight the Avengers and Captain America. During their final battle, Zemo was killed by an avalanche caused by a misdirected ray gun shot.
His son, Helmut Zemo, followed in his footsteps, attempting to get revenge on Captain America for his father’s death. He recreated the Masters Of Evil, as well as the Thunderbolts.
First Comic Appearance: The Avengers issue 4 (March 1946)
Most Common Team Ups: Masters Of Evil, Thunderbolts
Comic Recommendations: Thunderbolts Presents: Zemo, Born Better by Fabian Nicieza, Captain America: No Escape by Ed Brubake

He also finally picks up his iconic purple mask from the comics, he hasn’t properly donned it yet, but it’s certainly coming! […]
