HE’S THE MERC WITH THE MOUTH! (FULL OF BIRTHDAY CAKE!)
Deadpool’s turning 30! And to help celebrate, we’ve assembled some of his classic storytellers to tell tales of Wade Wilson birthdays past, present and future! A first birthday with time-traveling assassins! A sweet sixteen party that would make Molly Ringwald weep! A 100th birthday that could only be celebrated in grand Deadpool style! Blow out the candles! Pin the cybernetic arm on the Cable! And open this present, just for you!
If you’re a Deadpool fan, you’re going to love this comic! If you’re new to Deadpool comics in general, this may actually be a good place to start – each one shot is written by a classic Deadpool writer, so you can really get a feel for their storytelling and find which ones work for you!

WHEN DID THE X-MEN GET SIDEKICKS?!
Now! Don’t miss the debut of the greatest teenage super hero team of all time! They’ve learned from the best, now they’re ready to be put to the test! But who the heck are these kids, and where do they come from? Guest-starring the X-Men!
This is set in the current X-Men continuity, so I’d make sure I was fully caught up with the House Of X/Powers Of X run by Jonathon Hickman first!

They’re brothers, gods and sons of Odin – but Thor and Loki just don’t get along! Especially since Loki keeps tricking Thor into doing things that will get him in trouble. Even so, when Loki dares Thor to steal a powerful relic from Odin’s vault, how can the God of Thunder say nay? The fan-favourite team that brought you SPIDER-MAN & VENOM: DOUBLE TROUBLE returns!
Definitely one for younger comic readers, but should still be a fun ride for any fan of Thor and Loki!

Get ready for the most action-packed, pulse-pounding, adrenaline-pumping comic OF ALL TIME! As the name implies, once you read page one, panel one, SPIDER-MAN DOES NOT STOP! A mystery at Empire State University thrusts Spider-Man into an adventure that starts in uptown Manhattan and will take him around the world, pitting him against Marvel Universe villains old and new and give you a Spider-Man adventure (and Spider-Man) the likes of which you’ve never seen.
I’d say that this comic is for pre-established Spider-Man fans, but I’d also recommend looking up Baron Zemo comics, as he is a villain of this run! If you don’t know where to start with him, keep your eyes peeled, as I’ll be writing up a guide in a few weeks!
Bind Ups:

Steve Rogers might have been the prototypical 98-pound weakling, but that wasn’t going to stop him from serving his country. Transformed by the Super-Soldier Serum into America’s #1 fighting man, Steve became a symbol of patriotism, hope and perseverance on the eve of the nation’s entrance into World War II. Never before and never since has comics seen a hero as timely as – Captain America! Now you can experience the original Golden Age adventures of the Sentinel of Liberty from his 1941 inaugural appearance! You’ll meet Bucky Barnes and the Red Skull for the first time, behold Simon and Kirby’s trend-setting brand of storytelling, and even read Stan Lee’s very first comics tale!
If you’re looking to start Cap’s journey from the beginning, then this is the bind up to buy! This Golden Cage Omnibus is literally Captain America’s origins back from 1941!

X-Men superstars Chris Claremont and Jim Lee bring their legendary run to an Earth-shattering crescendo! The X-Men are shanghaied into outer space to outwit a Skrull infiltration and return Princess Lilandra to the throne – while back home, X-Factor must contend with the return of Apocalypse and the loss of Cyclops’ son, Nathan Christopher! Then both teams unite to face the menace of the Shadow King, leading into an all-new era as the X-Men evolve once again – becoming more than merely Uncanny! And they’ll need to be in full fighting form when Magneto gains a cult following, Omega Red returns to menace Wolverine, the time-traveling Bishop joins the team and the alien Brood assimilate Ghost Rider!
This features a lot of key plot points of the X-Men, so it’s definitely a good bind up to check out! You’ll want volume 1 first, and it’s simply called X-Men by Chris Claremont and Jim Lee Omnibus Volume 1!

The book that transformed comics! Todd McFarlane became a superstar illustrating AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, but he changed the industry forever with his next project: the “adjectiveless” SPIDER-MAN! Taking on both writing and art duties, McFarlane ushered Peter Parker into a gritty new era – and it began with “Torment”! When the Big Apple’s streets run red with blood, the web-slinger heads into the sewers to stop the Lizard’s homicidal rampage. But what is driving his old friend and foe? Plus: Ghost Rider lends a bony hand when the deranged Hobgoblin returns, the wall-crawler finds himself at the center of a clash of claws between Wolverine and Wendigo and Pete goes back in black to face Morbius the Living Vampire! And in the ultimate nineties team-up, Spidey joins X-Force to battle the unstoppable Juggernaut!
A classic 90’s collection of Spider-Man comics that I reckon you can jump right into! A warning though: this series does get dark, including kidnapping, torture and child murder.

When a dangerous armored foe named Virus erupts into Venom’s life, he threatens to rip away everything Eddie Brock holds dear. His son, his symbiote – even himself! But as their battle spirals out of control, reality itself escapes Venom’s grasp – and he finds himself somewhere beyond! As if one new threat weren’t bad enough, an entirely different foe rears its monstrous head as Eddie and Dylan try to make their way through a different – and highly dangerous – world. Thankfully, they enlist the help of new allies, some of whom have familiar faces – and one of whom Eddie may never want to leave! But as the full horrors of their strange surroundings and the nightmarish Codex become clear, Venom will soon have to make an impossible choice!
The infamous Venom series is releasing another bind up! The previous volumes are: Rex, The Abyss, War Of The Realms (tie into the War Of The Realms event), Absolute Carnage (start of the Absolute Carnage event) and Venom Island.

The Fantastic Four is the World’s Greatest Comics Magazine – and superstar writer Dan Slott is about to show you why! After being separated across dimensions, the Thing, the Human Torch, the Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic reunite at long last! But as Reed and Sue return home with their children, they find that big things have changed! Ben Grimm and Alicia Masters have major plans of their own – like a wedding, years in the making! And a new fabulous foursome, the Fantastix, are muscling in on the scene! But now that the FF are back, can Doctor Doom be far behind? And what about Galactus? Brace yourself for the World-Eater vs. the Lord of Latveria, with the fate of the planet hanging in the balance!
This series has a bit of pre-reading: Fantastic Four by Brian Michael Bendis, FF by Jonathan Hickman, Future Foundation by Matt Fraction and Secret Wars by Jonathan Hickman! This is also the lead up to the Fantastic Four’s half of the Empyre event, for which Dan Slott has come under fire for, so please be careful.

The legendary Jack “King” Kirby, co-creator of Captain America, returned to the title in the mid-1970s for an earth-shattering encore unparalleled in sheer scope and creativity – just in time for the American Bicentennial! The Secret Empire has infiltrated American society and plans to drive the country into war with their insanity-inducing Madbomb – unless Captain America and the Falcon can find them in time! Then Cap takes a trippy tour of 200 years of American history, courtesy of the mysterious Mister Buda! And even the eternal evil of the Red Skull pales before Cap’s most bizarre foe yet: Arnim Zola, the Bio-Fanatic! Plus: The menaces of the Swine, Magneto and his evil mutants, and more – all straight from the endlessly imaginative mind of Jack Kirby!
Set after Cap’s return in Tales Of Suspense rom October 1964.

A storyline so huge, it can’t be contained within the pages of one book! Kindred’s assault is so epic, it will sweep up the other spider-heroes of the Marvel Universe in its wake. Miles Morales, Gwen “Ghost-Spider” Stacy, Silk, Spider-Woman and more are about to be inducted into the Order of the Web – and now they must somehow find a way to help Peter Parker win the fight of his life! But a world-altering bombshell is rolling toward one of Marvel fandom’s favourite characters, and someone is on the group’s trail that is not going to make their quest easy! Doctor Strange gets tangled up in the drama – and so do Mary Jane and a classic Spidey villain – as the “Last Remains” saga races to its heart-breaking conclusion!
This is a companion to the main storyline, so before you read this you’ll need to read: Back To Basics, Friends And Foes, Lifetime Achievement, Hunted, Behind The Scenes, Absolute Carnage, 2099, 2099 Companion, Threats And Menaces, Sins Rising, Green Goblin Returns and Last Remains.

The saga continues! From Don McGregor, the world-building writer of “Panther’s Rage,” come the second and third chapters in his epic Wakandan trilogy! In “Panther’s Quest,” T’Challa searches for his long-lost mother – and it will lead him on a brutal hunt like no other, set against the violence of South African apartheid and illustrated by the legendary Gene Colan! Then, in “Panther’s Prey,” the painted art of Dwayne Turner brings the action back to Wakanda – where the winged menace called Solomon Prey swears vengeance on the king! Plus: The Panther prowls in a quintet of rarely seen tales!
The first two in this series are Panther’s Rage and Revenge Of The Black Panther, and the three cover a lot of classic Black Panther stories and give a lot of information about the world of Wakanda.
And that’s everything coming out this week! What’s on your pull list, I’m certainly keeping an eye on Children Of The Atom!
