WANDAVISION SPOILERS, IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN ALL OF WANDAVISION, DO NOT READ THIS POST.
WandaVision’s final episode came with some epic scenes, but it also brought up a vital new object in the MCU: The Darkhold.
But, what is the Darkhold? And what does it mean for the MCU going forward?

What is the Darkhold?
The Darkhold is a magical book from the Marvel Comics. It’s filled with dark magic spells and corrupts all who read it, and has been proven to be impossible to destroy.
Why does the name Darkhold sounds familiar?
It will be familiar to anyone who watched Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. or The Runaways. In AoS, it was used in season 4 by Eli Morrow, who turned his coworkers into ghosts, it went on to be used by AIDA to create LMDs (Life Model Decoys) of multiple characters. In The Runaways, it appears in season 3 when Morgan Le Fey escapes the Dark Dimension, with a plan to conquer the Earth.
Who wrote the Darkhold?
The demonic Elder God Chthon, Earth’s first dark magic practitioner, wrote the Darkhold, after he decided to collect all his knowledge of magic in one place.

What can the Darkhold do?
In the comics, The Darkhold has a lot magical power contained inside it, and has been used to do things like: create the first vampire, grant access to Limbo, conjuring Darkforce (negative energy), gain control of others and summon Elder Gods.
In the MCU, we know that it contains knowledge of the Scarlet Witch, and has sent people to hell dimensions. What else it can do remains to be seen.
What does this mean for the MCU?
A whole lot of things, really! Firstly, we’ve seen Wanda reading the book and hearing Billy and Tommy’s voices calling to her, so it’s likely that she has now gained knowledge of how to cross dimensions, possibly leading to Multiverse Of Madness (and House Of M… yeah, I’m not letting go on this event adaption easily!)
As for what else it could do, the possibilities are, really, endless! We know that in the comics the Darkhold created vampires, and we also know that Morbius The Living Vampire and Blade are coming to the Sony/Marvel universes, so it could tie in there.
With Wanda being the current owner of the Darkhold, there is absolutely no telling what she’ll do with it, or it’s knowledge. All we know is that it corrupts, and says the the Scarlet Witch is destined to destroy the world, so my best guess is that things are going to get a little more… villainous, for Wanda!
