For my first reading guide, I’d thought I’d start with something small and easy – Spider-Geddon!
Spider-Geddon was a 2018 run, featuring various Spider-people from across the multiverse, as they try to stop their extinction. This one is perfect for anyone who loves Into The Spiderverse, or just loves Spiderman!
But before I get to the main event, I’m going to shout a 2014 comic first:

Someone is working their way through the multiverse, leaving a trail of dead spiders in their wake! As the Superior Spider-Man faces this foe in the future, MC2’s Spider-Girl finds herself under attack! Spider-themed heroes everywhere, in every world, begin to falter and fall. How can our Spider-Man possibly hope to survive against this interdimensional onslaught.
This comic is actually vital to the whole Spider-Geddon storyline, as the villains of this comic are the villains of the main event. It’s a must have if you want to read Spider-Geddon.
As for actual Spider-Geddon, it’s only has three bind-ups:

Every world has its spider! Spider-Punk is back and better than ever, tackling his home dimension’s problems with arachnid attitude! And witness the next chapter in the life of Peni Parker, A.K.A. the fan-favorite SP//dr! But the amazing, spectacular alternate-reality heroes don’t stop there! In one universe, when Uncle Ben is shot in a mugging, Peter Parker’s radioactive blood donation turns Ben into a Spider-Hero too! And then there’s the Earth where industrialist Norman Osborn received the arachnid bite — and changed the world as a very different Spider-Man! But what’s Superior to a spider? An Octopus! And you won’t believe what Otto Octavius, in his new body, is up to as the savior of San Francisco! Experience the stories that set the stage for the Spidey event of the year: Spider-Geddon!
This bind-up simply covers what the characters introduced in Spider-Verse have been up to, it also sets you up for the events of Spider-Geddon!

SPIDER-VERSE united every Spider-Person ever — now SPIDER-GEDDON will destroy them all! The Inheritors have escaped their radioactive prison planet and made their way to the Marvel Universe. As the villains draw first blood, a whole Spider-Army must reunite to keep them at bay! Starring Spider Man, Otto Octavius, Spider-Gwen, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Spider-Punk, the live-action Japanese TV Spider-Man, the Spider-Man from the new PS4 video game and many more Spiders — including some brand-new ones! Prepare to meet Web-Slinger, Spidey of the Wild West! May Parker: Spider-Ma’am! And more! But as the threat they face builds, things do not look good for our web-heads and wall-crawlers. The end of the Spider-Verse is here!
The main event itself, nothing really else to say there!

KAINE & SPIDER-WOMAN lead a rough and ready crew of Spiders on a mission to save the multi-verse that will almost certainly lead to their deaths! Spiders you love and a few new ones will risk it all to stop the Inheritors from unleashing the ultimate foe! All hands are needed in the fight to defeat the Inheritors-this time for good! Meanwhile: Anya Corazon leads a hopeful team of young heroes to investigate a legend of the Spider Society that may hold the key. If science brought the Inheritors back, maybe ancient magic can put them away.
The ending to the main Spider-Geddon event. There are also other tie ins, such as Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider (Seanan McGuire) and Superior Spiderman Volume 2 (Dan Slott), but these are more optional, if you want to continue on individual character stories.
And that’s about it for Spider-Geddon! As I said, it’s a short run, compared to most big events, so if you want to start small, this is a great place to start.
